How eating earlier can help you lose more weight.

Perhaps you've heard the dieting advice to eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. Now, mounting evidence shows there's a lot of truth to it.

A recent study published in the International Journal of Obesity suggests that it's best not to eat too many calories late in the day. Dieters who ate their main meal before 3 p.m. lost significantly more weight than those who ate later in the day.

It's holiday time again! Time to reward yourself for another year of hard work at the office, and if you're smart, at the gym, in the pool or like me, on your bike. Too many of us let down our guard, throw caution to the wind and totally pig out on Christmas and New Years, not to mention the days in between. 

Here's a fun fact: On Christmas day, the average American eats more than 7,000 calories. You read right. 7,000. Calories. An adult male should be eating no more than 2,000. Dwell on that one for a moment. What can you do? We have some ideas.

A salad can be anything you want: sweet, savory, a wonderful combination of what's in season, what's available and whatever you love. But if you take a look at many salads offered at restaurants, they often pack more calories and fat than you can imagine. The culprit: the salad dressing.
